Update on Demand Letter

On Monday May 13, three and a half weeks after receiving the demand letter, the MCA responded through their lawyer. It included an implied threat of legal action against Mr. Diaz if we did not remove the demand letter from this website and publish a letter from Mr. Diaz by today.

His lawyer attempted to solicit further dialogue with the MCA through their lawyer, but received no reply.

Unfortunately the MCA has unlimited funds for legal actions (actually our MCA Homeowner funds) and we do not, so we have removed links to the demand letter and provide a link to Mr. Diaz’s letter.

Thanks for your continued good working keeping us informed. Do you recommend sharing this with other groups that have meadows residents? Or Will this create problems Thanks Ed

Yes, with the message: Rather than addressing the concerns of MCA Homeowners, the MCA threatens lawsuits to try to silence them. 587 MCA Homeowners currently subscribe to this website, and pass it on to many others. The MCA Board can try to ignore the demand letter, but it will be a lot tougher to ignore the growing number of dissatisfied MCA Homeowners showing up at MCA Board meetings. People like you who show up in person make a difference.

just went to get a copy. Of 2023 form 990.

Tom Murphy(?) Their comptroller was not there but did call me back in 15 min. When asked, he responded the auditors have not completed it, and they (TMCC) have filed a standard and government extension.” This was along with an extension of their taxes.

When i asked how long the extension files was for, the date November 11th was mentioned.

He said when he gets them he will be glad to provide them to me

next steps / suggestions are welcomed

Thank you for your continued effort to secure transparency in governance for unrepresented homeowners w the MCA Board in its relations with the MCC.

    1. What law firm represents the MCA?

    2. Did that firm state why they believed they had legal grounds to have Diaz’s attorney’s letter removed from this post?

MCA Homeowners will pay for all major work on the Highlands. MCA President says TMCC will pay but that is absurd as TMCC have no profits even with all the subsidies.
MCA and the MCA Board refuse to take on their responsibility to ensure OUR ASSETS are used to OUR benefit.
