Last Chance to VOTE on Monday

Monday is the last chance to vote on 3 new MCA Directors. These Directors will be part of our 9 member Board that will soon be making some BIG decisions on how our sports and dining complex assets are utilized in the future. So this election is REALLY important.

If you want directors who will act in the best interests of ALL MCA Homeowners, this is your chance to express that. The Board has virtually unlimited decision-making power on MCA decisions. This is the one decision that YOU get to participate in.

Votes must be delivered to the MCA office before 4:00pm on Monday (preferred) or at the Lifestyle and Wellness building prior to the beginning of the Annual Meeting at 7:00pm.

You can vote for up to 3 Directors, but you can also vote for fewer.

Please vote, and ask your friends and neighbors to do likewise.

There are no candidates involved in this website but a couple of the candidates do have similar views so we probably know who you are referring to.

I’m surprised that we have open ballot voting. Considering there is so much distrust, and for a reason, how do we know if our votes will be considered.

Had to do some research to learn “open ballot system” = not confidential voting!
Open ballot may be a practical necessity with our weighted voting system (doing that confidentially would likely be much more expensive and difficult to audit).
Following the 2023 election, Joe Moore audited all ballots and he found no discrepancies.
We’ve made some inquiries and the MCA Secretary has taken steps to gain confidence the count will reflect the votes.
Any homeowner can audit the results (in 2023 about 1300 ballots were cast)

That has been my contention. I don’t trust it or the last MCA Election I personally took our Vote to the MCA Office to them take to check and place the Ballot it a drawer. Very private securely stored Ballot, LOL.
